Modern Nature

The Brief: To bring nature and sustainability as a backdrop to this modern seaside house, a new parking area at the rear of the property and access back to the house.

The Solution: Natural materials were utilised, Limestone setts, gravel and timber for a rustic, textural yet modern palette. Jagged limestone sett and paver path from rear of garden interplanted with succulents and creepers to soften the journey through the garden. Raised beds for growing small crops a timber sofa around a Corten Steel firepit for entertaining and oodles of naturalistic planting.

“It’s been a pleasure working with Fuchsia Green from start to finish, and I’m delighted with the end result. Lisa produces some excellent 3d Visuals that bring it all to life and really help you nail down the design. A big part of Lisa’s skill here is her amazing knowledge of materials, she really brings some great suggestions to the table. As well as coming up with great ideas, she listens, tweaks and refines until you’re really happy and excited with the plan. This is where her 3d design skills really help as she rapidly iterates and plays with different suggestions that you can visualise! Lisa’s contractor suggestion was spot on, which made the end result even better and navigated any hurdles without stress. Finally, Lisa really knows her stuff re: planting. I’m delighted by the plants she chose and planted, she really knows how to create the vibe we were looking for” Simon. C , Tankerton
